Fantabulous Gal
What does every busy superheroine need? A super-assistant, of course, someone to take minutes, copy-edit press releases, and attend court in their stead when they are sued for property damage. Fantabulous Gal is that assistant. Or was. Her boss, Dyna Gal has been thrown into an insane asylum, leaving Fantabulous Gal broke and homeless. So what’s an unemployed super-assistant to do? Reinvent herself of course. And with great responsibility comes… a great new pad. Taking Dyna Gal’s house as her new base of operations, Fantabulous Gal sets out to show the centre of the universe (AKA Toronto) what she’s made of. With a new costume, revised c.v., and new business cards, she sets herself the lofty goal of getting a job as part of Ronin Force, to help them find the missing Captain Euchre. And why wouldn’t they want her? She’s punctual, organized, likes challenges, works well with others, and knows how to take minutes. She’s got a wining attitude and a costume that matches her hair colour. But as with every job, it’s a waiting game. And while she waits to hear from Ronin Force, Fantublous Gal blogs about her adventures and her struggles. Is there someone else living in Dyna Gal’s house? Where did she leave her umbrella? What’s the significance of the lone playing card she’s found? Look out, Yonge and Eglinton, it’s time for the assistants to the movers and shakers to do the moving and shaking for a change! Well, at least the faxing and filing. Fan-Tabulous!
